Itsatashathing: #Blogtober16 Day 1: Who are you?

Hi everyone,

So I've bitten the bullet and decided to take part in Hex Mum Blogs #Blogtober16! Now as you know I'm not used to posting everyday. So I thought I'd give it ago.

Post agenda for the week

Day one is to write about who you are. I know my first ever post was an all about me but hey, it's blogtober and things change (well not to much) and there may be new people reading this (if you are new hi and welcome to my blog, it's a lovely place).

So My name is Tasha and I'm a 20 year old self-confessed shopaholic and Mum-to-Be from Greater London/Kent. I'm also a natural blonde.

I love a Selfie: Meet me!

I was born further down south but a year and a half ago I met my lovely boyfriend on none other Instagram. He lived with me for a while and then I moved into live with him.

I did okay in school and went onto sixth form college where I studied the CACHE level 3 diploma in childcare and education. Although college taught me a lot I feel I have learnt more working in settings.

I started my blogging journey in May this year and I'm pretty happy with my blog right now. I started blogging because I loved reading others blogs and reading their opinions. So I thought why not put my own twist into the blogging world and start my own.

As I mentioned above I am going to be a Mummy! Writing this post I am exactly 31 weeks pregnant. I am due in December and we found out we are having a little girl! My boyfriend and I cannot wait to meet her.

Our baby girl!

I am a massive hoarder of make-up and clothes. I don't have a specific style, if I like it I'll get it. I like any make-up high street to high end. Same goes with clothes I love the likes of Armani but then again you can't beat a good Primark haul.

I've also just thought I don't like thunder and lighting as I'm sat here without my boyfriend and a storm starts *grabs the duvet, a teddy and hides*. On the subject of fears I'm also scared of lifts and candles (the candle thing I am very sad about, as long as they're not lit all is good. So you could say it's fire I'm scared of).

I don't have any major hobbies but I love to read and bake. When it comes to cooking dinners I'm better at the hearty homemade meals like stews and not to blow my own trumpet but I'm a pretty good baker (especially cakes). Maybe one day I will be able to share a few of my creations with you.

My perfect idea of spending my evenings (weekdays or weekends), is grabbing a blanket, some nibbles (a mixture of savoury and sweet), cuddling up with my boyfriend and watching TV or a good film.

I am big Harry Potter fan. I have been to the Warner Brothers studio tour twice before but I am hoping to go back to the tour for my birthday in January when it will still be all Christmassy.

I think that's about everything. I hope you enjoyed my first post of #blogtober16.

Itsatashathing: Autumn Tag 2016

Hi everyone,

So as I browsing Bloglovin'  this morning I found Makeup Savvy's autumn tag. I really liked the idea of this as I've been wanting to do an Autumnal post to kick start Autumn and what better way then with this tag.

1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

I think what truly starts Autumn for me is that first crisp morning where the airs a little bit nippy and that first thought of wearing a hat, scarf and gloves come into your head. Also when the likes of Starbucks and Costa advertise their Autumnal drinks on their boards outside, just gives me. Not to mention when the darker nights start arriving to!

2. What is your favourite Fall scent?

So it's not your generic pumpkin spiced scent as I'm not a candle person (cries) but mine would have to be when I go to my Grandma or Nanna's house and they start getting their pressure cookers out. You can guarantee within the pressure cooker holds a hearty beef or chicken stew with proper homemade dumplings. Walking in and smelling that is a true 'the colder weather is here' smell to me.

3. What is your favourite Autumn colour?

I think either an aubergine colour or mauve as I feel these are more wearable for me. I'd love to try to wear the mustard colours but I'm not sure if they'd suit me.

4. What is your favourite Fall drink?

I'm not really a coffee or latte drinker (the secrets out!), but a milky hot chocolate with the full works (whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles) will do just fine. If I'm in Starbucks or Costa I tend to play around with the syrups and see which I like. Or when you pop into your local café and receive the hot chocolate (pictured below) to take the chill away.

5. What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Fall?

I'm not really too sure. I guess its the time of year when the X Factor starts and you snuggle up on the sofa and watch it. I also love watching Children In Need, I try my best to stay up for it but I don't think I ever have.

6. What is your favourite Fall fashion trend?

I love to layer! I love a shirt with a vest top underneath. I also love ankle boots and chunky knit socks underneath paired with jeans (sadly not this year as I'm sticking to leggings with the bump) and my layered shirt and vest.

7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

This would probably have to be taking a walk in the park or up to my local shopping centre. Walking through the foliage of the newly bared trees and seeing all the pretty colours.

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

I love a strong vampy lip. My favourite for creating this look would have to be MAC Viva Glam III with MAC Current lip pencil.

My travel to-do list 2016

Hi everyone,

In 21 days exactly I will be on a plane to the island of Tenerife! I haven't been abroad since 2012. I am so excited to finally be going on holiday once again. However, this holiday will be the first without my parents. I will be going away with my boyfriend who has never been on holiday before. I like to see myself as an organised traveller, having everything I need with me and making sure everything is in place. So I thought I'd share with you my final to-do list.

First of all I need a clear bag containing clear bottles! This is one of the most important things to avoid any unnecessary hiccups at customs (I don't fancy being the person to hold up everyone in the que), not the best way to start your holiday. These little bags you can take in your hand luggage and are TSA approved. You can purchase them here at Superdrug for £3.99: http://tinyurl.com/h4laoov or any other retailer.

I need tissues! Just in case you or anyone around you needs one. You don't want to have to run to the toilets on the airplane if you sneeze or for any other reason when you can have them handy in your carry-on. These ones are cute that I've found from Primark, they are £2.00 for a pack of four: http://tinyurl.com/zorz2aw they have a lovely flower design on them.

Another necessity I need to get are some wet ones! We've all had that feeling when you've taken a sticky sweet from a bag and it's gone all over your fingers. You need a quick fix. Or, maybe you want to refresh your face, or wipe your mouth. I'm going to choose the 'wet ones be zingy'. They're a pack of 12 and I'm going to get these for a little extra refresh. Find them here at boots for £1.15 http://tinyurl.com/zu9frbl.

Now, if there was an award for the most sensitive lips on earth I think mine would win. Back when I was on holiday in 2016, I took with me a standard lip balm. Worst mistake. My lips where so sore and dry, basically sun burnt. I am not going to make the same mistake again and I am going to be buying the 'Nivea lip care sun protect SPF 30'. http://tinyurl.com/gnep4mr Boots have this one for £4.00. The best thing about this is it's waterproof so I don't have to worry that when I am in the pool it is going to wash off.

With any luck I won't need them but it's always handy to have some plasters. Superdrug have 'Elastoplast water resistant x40' for £2.39. I will put these in my carry-on just in case we happen to have any mishaps between check-in and Tenerife. Again they are waterproof, so perfect for getting in and out of the pool or sea. Find them here: http://tinyurl.com/hu3mpoa.

I also want to purchase a pack of footsie socks/shoe liners. These are hand if you have a pair of ballet pumps or converse Your feet are going to be able to breathe but without getting dreaded blisters. I found a pack of three from Matalan for £4.00. These have a cute leopard print design on them. Find them here: http://tinyurl.com/glt9t2p.

I think this is everything I need to get now for our holiday. Is there anything you forget? What do you always have to take with you? Leave it in the comments below :)
