Itsatashathing: #Blogtober16 Day 22: Biggest accomplishment

Hi everyone,

So This is a really hard question for me to answer as I am honestly not to sure what it could be.

To be honest I think I am creating mine right now and that's the little girl that is going to start mine and my boyfriends family.

I honestly cannot wait to meet her, I'm nervous but excited all at the same time. I think the thing I am most nervous about is giving birth as no one can share their experience and it varies from person to person. You don't know what will happen in labour everything could run completely smoothly or there may be some complications. However, one thing a can be assured of is a beautiful baby girl at the end of it.

QOTD: What are you most proud of?

Itsatashathing: Baby girl names I like

Hi everyone,

So as I posted on Twitter about not knowing what to call our baby girl, I thought of make a post on the names I like. These are names that I like but my boyfriend doesn't necessarily like or have agreed on them.

These are in no particular order:

1. Darcie/Darcey (I've placed this first because I do really like this one)

2. Phoebe (this ones second because  my boyfriend doesn't like Darcie but can kind of agree on Phoebe)

3. Amelia

4. Elouise

5. Amelie

6. Casey

7. Esmé

8. Madison

9. Sienna

10. Jasmine

Here she is:

If you can think of a name for her or have favourite baby girl names yourself pop them in the comments.

Itsatashathing: Parenting goals

Hi everyone,

So when your pregnant I guess everyone starts planning ahead for when their child gets older. We've been doing this a lot recently saying what we will and won't do.

I thought I'd make a list of the things we've said and see if we stick to them.

1. Sweet allowance! When our little girl gets to about 4/5 I want them to have something nice but not to over indulge in sweets. What we've said is when we go to do our shopping on a Friday or Saturday they can have £1. It's up to then what they want to do with the £1. If they want to use it wisely and but 5 packs for £1 or buy 1 thing for the pound that's their decision. Whatever they buy will be given in small allowances throughout the week.

2. No squash! We're going to try and stay with just milk and water for as long as possible. When she starts school we may introduce squash but only a very weak amount.

3. If we say no we mean no! Easy to say but not so easy to do. If we say no to having something that's how it stays.

4. Following through on discipline. Again if we say no tele, we mean no tele. I believe its all to easy to say these things and go back on them. To me a child is then going to think 'oh mummy and daddy don't mean that when they say it, I can do it again next time.' That's not what we want. We don't want to be strict but there's boundaries.

5. Pocket money! Sort of like the sweet thing but I believe it should be earned. Nothing comes for free in life and that to me is a valuable life lesson. By this I don't mean making a 4 year old sweep and mop the floors. It's just simple things like if they get their toys out, they need to pack them away.

That's what we have put together and I hope we can stick to this. Did you think of things like this and didn't go to plan? Or, did you think of things and stuck to them through the tough times? Let me know in the comments!

Itsatashathing: Pregnancy update it's a...

GIRL!!

Hi everyone,

So yesterday I went for my anomaly scan at the hospital. Everything went absolutely fine! Baby is developing well and everything is as expected. Baby is weighing in at a pound at the moment!

I'm also very excited to reveal that we are having a little girl! I honestly couldn't believe it when she told us that we were having a little girl. My boyfriend and I came over very emotional I didn't know quite what to do I think I was just in shock. I was almost certain we were having a boy. I didn't have a preference of gender but as a little girl myself I always dreamed of having a little girl myself.

We went shopping after and I think this is when it really hit me about having a girl. We brought a couple of little pink items of clothing. I will do a baby haul at some point.

We can't wait to meet our little princess!
