Glam & Style Hair Dryer*

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! It's been a little while since I last posted on my little blog. I had a little break over Christmas and then poor Darcie went down with tonsillitis (she's all better now). So, I had wanted to get this post up just after Christmas, but it didn't turn out that way. That's why the images on this post are still a little Christmassy. Fear not, they won't be on the next one.

Anyway, I had the Glam & Style hair dryer sent to me a little while ago now. I was so grateful for the opportunity to review this hair dryer as mine was starting to see better days.

So as packaging goes I really quite like it. They haven't over done it but at the same time it's eye catching. The picture above is the front of the box. The picture below is the back of the box. This side gives you the lowdown on the hair dryer. Inside the box you get a little leaflet on the hair dryer.

  • 3 heat settings
  • 2 speed settings
  • A hang up loop

  • and a 2 year guarantee.

How do I find using my Glam Style hair dryer?

Well, so far so good. It isn't just me that uses it, my boyfriend uses it when he styles his hair and said it is good. It's light weight so you do feel like you're doing a workout whilst drying your hair. Compared to my last hair dryer its super light weight. It dries my hair and helps my boyfriend style his hair in next to no time.

I love the look of the hair dryer to. I love the little accents of rose gold. I don't mind hair dryers that have crazy patterns (as my last one had) but I like that this has no frills and is sleek and elegant looking.

Overall, for £14.99 on Amazon I think it's a bargain and if you are looking for a hair dryer for yourself or as a gift for someone else, I would recommend this one.

You can find the Glam & Style on Amazon.

Until next time,

ProBlo VolumizeMe comb review*

Hi everyone,

So a couple of weeks ago I was sent a ProBlo VolumizeMe to try out and review. I'm pleased to say I've tried it out and I love it!

I have tried a couple of backcombing combs before. One was middle of the range and the other being a very cheap one. Both seemed okay, but there was something about them that left my hair a little, unfinished maybe? This is why I was so pleased to try the PloBlo VolumizeMe.

So here is what the comb itself looks like:

Backcombing, comb

ProBlo Group

It's unbelievably easy to use! I used mine alongside my Bed Head by TIGI 'Queen for a Day' thickening spay. Even though my hair is due for a cut and is a little heavy, it still worked wonders. The bristles seem to be just right to backcomb and to have the ability to smooth. The comb is very easy to grip and it just feels nice. I think it's a great price at £15 as it has that luxury feel to it and it works!

You can use the end of the brush to part sections of your hair. After doing that you can start to backcomb the section of your hair, holding it straight. You can then put the piece of hair you were holding straight down and use the comb to smooth the hair over. Finish with spraying your choice of hairspray to hold.

I used the Bead Head thickening spray after instead of hairspray. I spray this all over to give a textured, messy hair look.

I have a before and after picture of what my hair turned out like. Sorry the pictures aren't great, my boyfriend took them and is learning the whole blog photography thing. I don't think it does enough justice.

Before                                               After
I would definitely recommend the VolumizeMe comb for all sorts of hair types. I mean, I probably have one of the worst hair types, extremely fine, thin, very straight and it's long! This comb still works for my hair and would work for shorter and/or thicker hair types.

I obviously went for a messier look because that's what I was feeling. However, you could definitely make a very sleek and polished look with this brush due to it's smoothing ability.

I already have my eye on the CurlMe Duluxe set.

Itsatashathing: Would you rather beauty tag

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd do another tag today. I love doing these and I always love to read them, so here goes.

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

A: I think I would rather go out with nice hair and no make-up. I can never get my hair right so if this was the one opportunity I'd have to have perfect hair, I'd take it.

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

A: I think have my all my eyelashes fall out. I'd just where fake ones to make up for not having them.

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

A: I'd pick MAC as we don't have Sephora in the UK.

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

A: I think I'd go for 80's perm as I've always wanted curly hair.

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

A: This is difficult! I'm just going to go with overdone blush. I don't know why but I think I'd rather that than a obvious foundation line.

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

A: I'm going to go MC Hammer pants to save everyone from my translucent legs.

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

A: I think I'd rather the weird tan lines. I don't really fake tan so it's hard for me to choose.

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

A: Bad haircut. I've never coloured my hair before so I'd rather go with the haircut.

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

A: Probably the hardest question in this tag. I'm going to go with Twitter. I'd still have Facebook so that makes up for that but nothing really makes up for YouTube.

10. Would you rather give up using make-up brushes or mascara?

A: I'm going to go with giving up using make-up brushes. I don't think I could live without using mascara.

Hope you enjoyed reading this. If you have a go yourself leave a link below so I can have a read of what you would rather.

Itsatashathing: OOTN last night in Tenerife

Hi everyone,

A little OOTN for you today as I'm now back off of holiday. I haven't had the best of days since being back as I'm not feeling great. So I thought that with my spare time I would do this OOTN post.

Sunday was our last evening in Tenerife and what better way to end a lovely two week break with a pretty dress. (Excuse the pictures they where a couple of on the spot selfies).

So this dress is one of my absolute favourites! This black and white dress is by Jones and Jones. These dresses are perfect for every occasion.

I found out about Jones and Jones a little while ago when I ordered a cream Jones and Jones dress off of Vinted. I feel in love with them so much I went on a hunt to find as many as I could.

I own three Jones and Jones dresses now. They are all in the 'Poppy' design. I have the one I am wearing in the photo, the cream one I spoke about and a red one. The dresses themselves our lovely! A beautiful lace top with a pretty Peter Pan style collar. The skirt of the dress is lined which makes it a perfectly full girly school.

I had a look online and sadly they no longer stock the black and white one. However they have one in the 'Poppy' design which is similar but all black and it's just as gorgeous (I have to say I want this one to add to my collection). Find it here on the Jones and Jones website: http://tinyurl.com/hzkhtm8They do many other lovely dresses so have a browse of their site.

I paired it with my white ballet pumps which I brought from Primark specifically for my holiday. I also tied my hair up and pinned my little black bow I brought from Forever 21.

Find the bow here on Forever 21's website (they also do lovely colours): http://tinyurl.com/hbvp9t9

I couldn't find the shoes on primarks website but they have ones exactly the same on M and M direct: http://tinyurl.com/hn5qcyf
