SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush Review*

Hi everyone,

So for a while now I have spent a while trying to perfect a skincare routine. I've been searching high and low for the prefect products and the perfect tools to help out. I think one of the helpful tools comes in the form of this...

The SENSSEGo! Mini Facial Cleansing Brush.

I have seen a few products by SENSSE on Instagram recently and I have really wanted to try their products out for myself. I feel very lucky to have been sent one to try for myself.

The first thing I will mention about this is I love the packaging! How chic is the packaging look? I love that it is all white with SENSSE in rose gold! I am a huge lover of all things rose gold so I am pleased to say that the statement rose gold colour carries to the pearlescent white device, where it is found around the power button. Also, there was a plastic insert keeping everything in place inside the box.

The SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush comes with two different heads. on is for daily cleansing use and the other (pictured below) is for a deep exfoliation and can be used a couple of times a week. The brush comes with one cap to keep the brush head on the device safe. The other has its own compartment for storage. The SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush also has two intensity settings so you can find what works best for you. The recommended time for using the brush is 1 minute but no longer than 3 if you choose to use it for longer. Pressure is not required when using the brush, just place it on the skin and move it round you face. The SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush is easy to grip hold of. I found it was a nice fit in the palm of my hand.

The SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush is cordless and can be charged with the USB cable provided in the box. One thing to note is that this handy travel device is good for up to 180 uses!

The SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush is obviously perfect for travelling. My only wish about this (something my Mum pointed out to) is that it would be nice if it came with a travel bag so you don't have to keep it safe in the box. However, this is just me being pernickety as I am sure we all have a spare travel bag in amongst our many.

Overall, in a week of using the SENSSEGo! Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush I have noticed a change in my skin. My skin seems a little clearer not to mention softer.

If you fancy getting your hands on one you can find them on Amazon.

Tropika Skincare Review*

Hi everyone,

I was very kindly sent a couple of products by Tropika.

box, packaging, Virgin coconut oil, coconut herbal cream with tropical herbs, coconut massage oil with rose

These two products are from their 'Little Spa' range. These products are prefect to use for my little Darcie (and for Mummy to pinch a little of too).

Coconut herbal cream with tropical herbs, coconut massage oil with rose, virgin coconut oil

The two products I received were 'Little Spa Herbal Cream With Tropical Herbs' and 'Little Spa Massage Oil With Rose'.

Virgin coconut oil, vapour rub, colds, teething, mum, dad, baby

The first product I will talk about is the Little Spa Coconut Herbal Cream with Tropical Herbs. This is inspired by homemade remedies that have been used by Mum's throughout Malaysia. It is made using virgin coconut oil and tropical herbs.. I have to say I love this! It is a lovely all-natural alternative to vapour rubs. Massage a little onto your little one's (or your) back and chest, this will help to give them a better nights sleep and ease their cold. I can help to ease the snuffles from teething too. You can buy this from the Tropika website and has an RRP of £13.99.

dry skin, cradle cap, baby, mums, dads, virgin coconut oil

The product above is the Little Spa Coconut Massage Oil with Rose. Another product I love! This is also made from virgin coconut (Tropika only use virgin coconut oil). To give the rose scent they use essential rose oil. You know when you go into a health shop and you find their toiletry section and you can just smell that smell where you know the products there are going to be good for you. Well this has that smell and it is SO good! To use this warm a little of the oil in your hands and then gently massage into the body. This can also be used to help with cradle cap, so you can do the same as above and massage it into the scalp too. This is great to help with dry skin for little ones and their parents. You can find this on the Tropika website and has an RRP of £15.99.

Overall I am really impressed with these. I will be replacing these as I love them! I also have my eye on the Mums spa range.

Beauty Essentials Shadow Switch*

Hi everyone,
I was kindly sent a Shadow Switch by Beauty Essentials to try. I have seen so many bloggers review these and say how much they love them. I am so glad to finally have tried one and have been able to see first hand why they make a perfect staple to anyone's makeup routine.

Eyeshadow, clean

Shadow Switch is a dry brush cleaner, it allows you to switch between eye shadows when creating your desired eye look. Hence the name, Shadow Switch. We've all been there, you need to use another eyeshadow colour and guess what? You've run out of brushes. Now, no one has time to wash or even spot clean their brushes and dry them whilst trying to get ready to go out. That's where this little beauty comes in.

All you have to do is get the brush you have used, press and rotate (in a circular motion) in the sponge, until you are satisfied that the remains of the last shade used has gone. It is that easy. The Shadow Switch comes in a little box and the tin is a perfect size for travelling with.

To keep you Shadow Switch clean, use warm water and fragrance free soap and leave to dry. It is recommended that you switch your Shadow Switch (see what I did there) every couple of months. The Shadow Switch is only £5.99, so I think that is a very reasonable price to pay every couple of months. Just think about how much time that £5.99 saves you, not only that it saves you worrying about whether you have another brush clean or not.

Beauty Essentials have recently launched new packaging for the Shadow Switch. I love it! Here is what it looks like:

I am really excited to see what else Beauty Essentials have and what they bring out next. Without a doubt the products will be something I need in my life and can't wait to get my hands on. Well done, with this Beauty Essentials! I have found another must-have favourite to keep in my kit. Fancy buying one for yourself? You can find them on Amazon.

Have you tried the Shadow Switch yet?

June round up 2017

Hi everyone,

So I am very proud of myself as I am actually getting a round up post up. I am going to start as I mean to go on and try and get one of these up for every month.

What's happened in June?

  • Darcie turned 6 months old (where has the time gone?!) I am thinking about doing an update post on 'Darcie at 6 months' as a lot has happed. If you follow my Instagram you may have seen my stories, we have started to wean Darcie. She is doing really well with it, I won't go into to much detail and I'll save it for the 'Darcie at 6 months' post.
  • We went to Hampton Court Palace. We had an amazing time! I am already thinking about planning another trip there. Darcie enjoyed it too, not just because it was somewhere new but because of how much attention she received. From students on an educational trip, people who had just come out for a day out and even the workers there, no word of a lie must have had about 20+ people either stop to say how lovely she was or walk past and say 'how gorgeous!'.
  • I had my braces tightened. I have never really spoken about my braces and what work I have had done, maybe this is for another post as well.
  • We took Darcie to soft play for the first time. We went with one of my friends and her little one. Darcie really enjoyed herself.
  • Aron's parents visited! We had a lovely day with them.
  • We have been busy gathering a few more bits for Darcie's Christening. We are almost there now with gathering bit and pieces for her.

Food favourites:

First up, Milky way crispy rolls. I love these! I love Milky Way chocolate. I haven't had these in ages and I found these in Iceland for £1. That's when I rekindled my love for them. I have to stop myself from eating the whole box of these. I love how they are crispy but have that really smooth centre.

Another Milky Way product. These are a favourite of mine full stop. I love Magic Stars! I don't know what it is about these start shaped chocolates, but I always want more! I picked these up in Tesco on deal for £1 (usually £1.50).

Last food favourites that I don't actually have pictures for are Tesco Finest Piccolo Cherry Tomatoes (£1.50) and Tesco Sweet Mini Peppers (£1.25). With the weather we have been having as they are both lovely additions to a salad.

Makeup and Skincare products:

I wrote a little about these in my May Dollibox* post. These wipes still haven't let me down. These still leave my skin feeling super soft and are great at removing makeup. You can buy the on the Seacret website for £19.95.

Last up in my in my makeup and skincare favourites for the month is the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Evertone Suncare lotion. I received this in my June Dollibox*. Just the smell of this product is enough to win me over! When I applied this to my skin it dried really quickly and it left my skin feeling lovely and soft. You can find out where to buy this on the Palmer's website (RRP £9.99).

Darcie's favourites:

I love this cute floral smock dress from M&Co. This dress is size 3-6 months and is £18.00. This dress was Darcie's Easter present from my Grandma. It comes with a beautiful little pair of matching knickers. Darcie wore this on our trip to Hampton Court Palace.

On the peter pan collar there is some beautiful floral embroidery. I also love the little broderie anglaise sleeves. I want to buy this dress in 18/24 months (which would be £20) ready for next summer in case they don't have it in again. It suits Darcie perfectly!

Another clothing item. I adore this little Spanish wear romper suit! You may have seen that I picked this up on a Facebook selling page in my post 'Darcie's wardrobe: 3-6 months'. This was a great find as this really suited Darcie! She looked unbelievably cute in this! This little romper has been perfect for the hot weather we have been having, it kept her lovely and cool.

These little pink baby pods have been a firm favourite of mine since we first got them when Darcie was about 3 months. Sadly, Darcie has just grown out of them and I am really sad. I see these as her first pair of shoes and now my baby is getting bigger. You can find these on Ebay.

This is a life saver! This dummy clip has helped no ends! We attach this to her pram when we are off out, meaning we don't loose dummies any more. It's so pretty and they come in all different colours and styles. For more information contact allthingshandmade24 on Instagram.

I adore this sleepsuit from Asda! This pattern suits Darcie so well! I search high and low for this particular sleepsuit as it is no longer available. They also do a vest in this pattern too. It reminds me so much of Cath Kidston.

TV, Film and Netflix:

Both of my favourites are from Netflix. First up is Hell's Kitchen. My boyfriend and I have enjoyed watching this in the evening, I believe we are on season 11. We both feel like we actually know the contestants which makes it all the more tense when it comes to elimination.

Saving the best until last for this month and that is Reign! I love Reign! It is based on Mary Queen of Scots, Adelaide Kane who plays Mary is fantastic! Of course all of the other actors and actresses are too. I haven't got to the end of Reign yet, so if you watch it please no spoilers! I am so sad that there will be no more episodes though.

What have been your favourite things in June?
